FUNDING

Funding comes from generous donors, golf charity days and the generous support of Mercer’s Livery Company in London.

Orphan sponsorship monies provide for each one’s care including medicines (several of our orphans have inherited AIDS), hospital visits, emergencies and to keep our vehicle on the road: without it our work would be impossible.  It is a major drain on resources because there are no roads to the places where many of our orphans live so the wear and tear on the vehicle is immense.  

We have learned to try and keep a contingency fund in reserve incase we need to buy a new one in a hurry, should the vehicle be unrepairable. 

John and Stephen carry out their roles on a voluntary basis. Stephen receives an honorarium to fund his 3 children through university, as well as Rachael, Stephen’s wife, now trained and a distinguished teacher.
